Fish Fry Recipe

 Here is a recipe for Fish Fry (Pan Fried Crispy Fish) that you can try at home.

 Ingredients (US cup = 240 ml)

  •  4 fish fillets (I used tilapia)
  •  1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
  •  1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  •  1/2 teaspoon of salt
  •  1/2 tsp garam masala
  •  1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  •  1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  •  1/2 cup rice flour
  •  1/4 cup cornmeal
  •  1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  •  1/2 teaspoon of salt
  •  1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  •  1/2 tsp garam masala
  •  1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  •  1/4 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)
  •  1/2 cup of water
  •  1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  •  1/4 teaspoon salt
  •  1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  •  1/4 tsp garam masala
  •  1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  •  1/4 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)

 Frying oil

 First marinating

1. Rinse the fish fillet and dry it with a kitchen towel.

2. Mix ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, garam masala, turmeric and red chili powder in a bowl.

3. Coat the fish fillets with the mixture on both sides.

4. Set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

 Second marinating

1. Mix rice flour, corn flour, all purpose flour, salt, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric and ajwain in a bowl.

2. Add water, lemon juice, salt, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric and ajwain.

3. Mix well to make a smooth dough.

4. Dip the fish fillet in the batter and coat well.

5. Set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

 Instruction

1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

2. Once the oil is hot, add the fish fillets one at a time.

3. Fry the fish fillet on both sides until golden and crispy.

4. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

5. Serve hot with your favorite sauce.

 Preparation for fish fry

1. Clean and rinse the fish fillet.

2. Dry with a kitchen towel.

3. Prepare the first marinating mixture and coat the fish fillets with it on both sides.

4. Set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

5. Prepare the second marinating dough and dip the fish fillet in it.

6. Set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

 How to make a fish fry

1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

2. Once the oil is hot, add the fish fillets one at a time.

3. Fry the fish fillet on both sides until golden and crispy.

4. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

5. Serve hot with your favorite sauce.

 For grilling fish

1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

2. Place the fish fillets on the grill and grill for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.

3. Remove from the grill and serve hot with your favorite sauce.
