Ingredients (US cup = 240 ml):
- Seafood ingredients:
- 500 grams of fish, washed and cut into pieces
- 1 cup of thick yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- br > br>1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- To taste
- Spice:
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 4 green cardamom pods >4 cloves
- 2 inch cinnamon sticks
- 1 bay leaf
Biryani Sauce Ingredients:
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup mint leaves
- 1 cup coriander leaves >2 green chillies, chopped
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
Bryantiya:
- 2 cups basmati rice, soaked for 30 minutes
- 4 cups water
- Add salt to taste
Instructions : Preparation of Fish Biryani:
1. Fried fish: Fried fish with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red pepper and salt. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish until golden brown. Put it down.
2. Make Fish Biryani:
In the same pan, add cumin seeds, cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon sticks and bay leaves. Sauté until aroma comes out. Add sliced onion and cook until golden brown. Add tomatoes, mint leaves, coriander leaves and green chilies. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
Place the fried fish on the masala.
3. Basmati Rice Layer:
In a separate pan, cook basmati rice with salt until half cooked. Remove the rice and spread the sauce and masala.
Saffron milk is drizzled over the rice for a pleasant aroma and color.
